Does Junior really run locally?

Yes. Transcription, clipping, captions, vertical reframe — all happen on your computer. Your raw video never uploads to any cloud. The only time anything leaves your machine is when you explicitly hit "publish" — then the finished, ready-to-be-public clip goes to YouTube/TikTok/X directly, like any normal upload.

What machines does it work on?

Any Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) and any Windows machine with 16GB RAM. Junior runs faster on better hardware — a 1-hour podcast takes 3 minutes on an M2 Pro, about 8 minutes on a 2020 Intel laptop. We probe your hardware on first launch and tell you what to expect.

How is this different from Opus Clip?

Opus Clip is cloud. You upload, wait, pay per source-minute. Junior is local. No upload, no credit anxiety, unlimited videos. Plus Junior generates everything Opus Clip doesn't — chapters, descriptions, thumbnails, tweet threads, LinkedIn posts — and drips them across weeks on autopilot.

Does Junior post while my laptop is closed?

That's auto-scheduling & drip, currently in private beta. When it ships, scheduled clips upload to a small holding service so they fire on time even with your laptop closed — your raw footage never leaves your machine. For now, Junior makes the clips, captions, thumbnails and metadata, and you post them. Autopilot subscribers get drip the moment it's live.

Do I need to pay for OpenAI / Claude separately?

On the Free tier, yes — you paste your own API key and pay your own usage (typically $2–5/month for moderate use). On Solo and above, we include API costs up to your tier's allowance. You'll see exactly what's being used in settings.

What if I cancel?

You go to Free tier. Your existing clips stay on your hard drive forever — we never had them in the first place. No "your work disappears when your subscription does" trap. Cancel any time from your Junior account dashboard.
