Your files never leave your machine.

Local-first by design

When you drop a video into Liquid Clips, the work happens on your device: it transcribes, picks moments, cuts, reframes, and renders locally. Your source footage is not uploaded to our servers to run the local pipeline. Outputs are written to a folder on your own disk.

Your keys, your accounts

• Bring-your-own AI key. On Free and Solo you use your own OpenAI key. It's stored in your operating system's secure keychain (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Manager) and is not sent to our servers.
• Local licence check. Your plan is carried in a short, cryptographically signed licence token verified on your device — no network round-trip needed to confirm your tier.
• Connected platforms. When you connect YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or X, Liquid Clips uses each platform's official OAuth. You can revoke access at any time from your account on that platform or from the app's Settings.

Hosted features on paid tiers

Growth and Autopilot can use hosted transcription and AI so you don't have to supply a key. For those features, the relevant audio/clip data is sent to our AI processor(s) to generate the result, then discarded after processing. Local-only tiers never send this content off your machine.

Payments

Billing is handled by our payment processors (Whop and Stripe, via Clerk). Liquid Clips never sees or stores your full card details.

What we store — and what we don't

• We store: your account email, plan/tier, affiliate attribution id, usage counts, and licence records.
• We don't store: your source videos, exported clips, or local transcripts (these stay on your device); and we never send your email, filenames, file paths, or transcript text to our analytics.

Encryption

• All network traffic uses TLS.
• Secrets (API keys, licence, platform tokens) live in your OS keychain.
• Licences are Ed25519-signed and verified locally.

Sub-processors

Liquid Clips relies on a small set of trusted providers: Clerk (authentication), Whop (membership & payouts), Stripe (payments), PostHog (privacy-respecting product analytics — internal IDs only), Resend (transactional email), our AI provider(s) for hosted transcription/generation, and our social-publishing infrastructure for connected-account posting.
